See the detailed group info below or use our group finder to search for a group using criteria that is important to you. Please note: some groups take a break during the summer months. Contact the group leader for more details.
What to expect: Our group centers around those who live in the Highland Creek area and whom are reaching out to unbelievers, especially internationals. We support each other in our own spiritual walks through the Scripture, fellowship and encouragement, and we support each members’ efforts to make disciples outside the group setting.
What to expect: When it comes to mission we are trying to help our coworkers and neighbors understand the person and work of Jesus. When we gather as a group we read Scripture and pray for one another as it relates to those we want to see come to Christ. We select a passage of Scripture (usually about 6 chapters) and read those chapters throughout the week. When we get together we discuss what we noticed, what God taught us, and questions we had.
What to expect: God calls us to live in community as the body of Christ. Join us as we look for opportunities to grow in community and grow closer to the Lord. 5:30 - 7 p.m. Drop-in, dinner and fellowship. Study starts at 7 p.m.
What to expect: We have many family members that are unsaved so our concentration will be on family. We contribute money to a benevolent fund each time we meet; we try to help a person, family or group when we find they need assistance. We also meet at other times for lunches, birthdays, etc. This fall we will be studying 1 and 2 Timothy.
What to expect: We gather as a group to fellowship (often around food!) and encourage one another in the challenges we face.

Meeting every Friday from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. in the Harvest Cafe, this ministry is designed to help non-English speaking individuals learn English and the Bible. Lessons are paced to meet members’ needs, and our ultimate goal is that people will experience salvation and grow in their faith through our tailored lessons. Volunteers are always needed who can be conversational partners and communicate God’s love to the internationals.

Seventy-five percent of internationals never get invited into an American home while they are studying in the US. There are over 1,700 at UNCC this year, and there are many ongoing ministry opportunities each week both on and off campus to build relationships and share Christ with these students, visiting scholars, and their families. One particular opportunity we are involved in is English Corner at UNCC. This occurs weekly on Saturdays from 3 – 4:30 p.m. A Bible study follows for anyone interested.
