Jerry Barber moved from the Chicago area to Charlotte in 1995 to start Harvest. His passions are communicating God’s Word, discipling and training leaders, and prayer. He and his wife Tish are the proud parents of three adult sons -Jonathan, Justin, and Preston and two grandchildren, Ayla (born July 2015) and Judah (born February 2017). Jerry earned a Ph.D. in New Testament Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he also received his Master of Theology degree. He holds a Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He is involved in ongoing efforts to train pastors in eastern Europe and Latin America through World Reach’s Mobile Bible Institute and occasionally teaches seminary classes as an adjunct at local seminaries in Charlotte. For relaxation, Jerry enjoy golf, swimming and reading.
Pastor Scott was raised in a military family and has lived in various parts of the world. He became a follower of Jesus Christ in June of 1995. He is a graduate of Valdosta State University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Scott is married to Andrea Lynn Torres. Together they have four children (Boston, Bryce, Bailey, Brooks), also known as the “Killer B’s”. Scott has served as a pastor for 13 years and has a heart for the local church. His hobbies include coaching baseball, playing board games with the B’s, and taking Andrea dancing.
Henry is the only son of two loving parents. Originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he starting actively walking in his calling on leading worship at the age of 18.He has been fortunate to serve on worship teams for the past several years on his life. His passion is seeing people understand just how much they are loved by the Father and letting that love be the lens in which everything else in life is lived out. A graduate of Ohio State University, in his free time he enjoys going on random adventures, hiking, sporting, or just spending quality time with his friends.
COORDINATOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES
Jim has served students in church and school settings for twenty plus years in Connecticut. He taught, coached and served as a pastor throughout that time. Jim values seeing students come alive and realize their worth in Christ. Each student is significant. Jim received a degree in 1994 from the King’s College in New York and is working on a Master’s in Christian Leadership at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He enjoys running, hiking, sports, and more importantly life with his wife Jeanni, and two daughters – one in college and the other in high school. Heidi is the treasurer for Harvest. She and her husband Stan, along with their five children, have been valuable parts of the ministry since the very early days of the church. Heidi is active in several ministries at Harvest and is currently co-leading the ladies Tuesday evening Bible Study on the book of Hebrews. She enjoys cooking, coffee, sonnecting with others, being a support to young families, date nights with my husband, and spending time with her whole family (which is a rare occurrence now that we are spread up and down the east coast.)
Anna moved to Charlotte in 2016 together with her husband, Andy, and their three children, Aiden, Benjamin and Naia. Although Andy's job was what prompted their move to Charlotte, the Pierce family is excited to see what God has in store for this next season! Anna enjoys spending time with her family, making new friends and visiting old friends.
Richard is a faithful volunteer, serving weekly, performing various admin tasks throughout the week. He and his wife Norma have been married for 38 years and enjoy spending time with their family, especially their grandchildren. Richard co-leads the Wednesday night "mature" community group.
Amy is originally from Green Bay, WI and has resided in the Charlotte area since 2005 and became members of Harvest in 2010. She and her husband Cory have three children, Bryce, Addy, and Ty. They also have a labradoodle, Wrigley. When she is not spending time with family she is crafting for her Etsy shop.
